For those that might be curious about Thursday night meeting

Regarding the redevelopment of 75 & 79 Erie Ave The Creamery building on the corner of Erie Ave and Eagle Ave , I attended the meeting.

What is being proposed is an application to amend Zoning By-law 160-90 affecting 75 & 79 Erie Avenue.

The applicant is proposing to construct a 6-storey mixed-use building consisting of a total of 20 residential units above grade, one ground-floor commercial unit, and 18 parking spaces.

Some highlights:

There would be an entrance on erie and exit onto eagle ave. it would be one way to help mitigate traffic directly onto erie.

Parking was a huge concern amongst those that attended both on the property and on the adjoining streets from possible over flow.

Set backs from the road and adjacent property lines we’re discussed along with the concerns about respecting the heritage of the building for anything new being built

Architecture will match feel of the buildings north of eagle ave.

Remember this project is in the Planning Stages n this was their first public meeting .

Designs and Plans are still in the works and could change based on feed back from the community and requirements from the city.

There are various Studies that have to be conducted that will go along with their application to the city and they should know more about by the next meeting that they intend to have in may.
