Some books change the way you think about people entirely.

I just finished What Happened to You? by Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Bruce Perry, and it’s easily one of the most impactful books I’ve read in a long time.

The book explores how experiences, especially early ones, shape behaviour, reactions, relationships, and the way people move through the world. Instead of asking “what’s wrong with someone?”, it shifts the perspective to “what happened to them?”

What stood out to me most is how compassionate and understandable the conversations feel. It’s incredibly insightful without feeling overwhelming or clinical.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — absolutely worth the read.

Having ideas is one thing. Following through on them is another.

I just finished Start Finishing by Charlie Gilkey, and it’s one of the more practical productivity books I’ve read lately.

The book focuses on why so many goals, projects, and plans never actually get completed—and how better systems, priorities, and realistic planning can help change that.

What stood out to me most is that it doesn’t push hustle culture. It focuses more on intentional progress and creating space for the things that actually matter.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 — practical, motivating, and worth the read.
