Loved and Honored

Facebook Family, sometimes we let our weaknesses and areas we need to improve in cause us to feel unworthy. We think that once we get it all together, then we can feel good about who we are. But your worth is not based on your performance. There’s nothing you can do to make yourself more valuable. To be more disciplined, pray longer, and spend more time with your children is good, but that doesn’t make you more valuable. Your value comes from your Creator.

Don’t go through life living performance-based, trying to earn your worth. Just believe it and say, “I am forgiven. I am loved and honored. I am valuable. I’ve been approved by Almighty God.” Every time you say that, you get stronger and more confident. Your self-esteem will increase. Those are the thoughts that need to be playing in your mind throughout the day. Tune out all the lies and get in agreement with what God says about you: You are worthy, you are talented, you deserve to live an abundant, victorious, healthy, productive, favor-filled life. This is what faith is all about.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that Your love and forgiveness is not based on my performance but upon the fact that I am Your child. Thank You that You love and honor me, imperfect as I am, and that every mistake I’ve made and ever will make has already been paid for in full by Jesus’ death on the cross. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Daily Prayer-

O Mighty God, I confess that I slip so easily into my day-to-day rut and sometimes grow immune to the joy and excitement of Your salvation. Please give me fresh eyes to see and a bold voice to declare Your glorious deeds, Your mighty works, and Your answered promises. I believe You are leading me to glory, so help me show and share that glory with those who do not yet know You as God, Savior, Lord, and King. In the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior, I pray. Amen.

Fires and Floods

Facebook Family, in Isaiah 55, God says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.” We don’t think that the way to great abundance is through fire and flood, but that is the way the psalmist says God brought the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt into the abundance of the Promised Land. At times the fire and flood seem like too much. The loss is too painful, the sickness too great, the setback is too far. You don’t think you can make it through the heartache when that person walks away or your child gets off course. Yes, it can feel like what you’re in is going to hinder you the rest of your life, but don’t get stuck there complaining. The fire and flood are only temporary means to move you to the next level of your destiny. You’re about to come into victory, to joy unspeakable, to favor you’ve never seen. On the other side of the fire and flood is a place you’ve never dreamed or imagined. Trust God’s thoughts, trust His ways.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me through life’s fires and floods. I know that You’re here with me now, and I invite You into every challenging situation in my life. I believe and declare that You are bringing me through and into a place of great abundance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Daily Prayer/

O, Abba Father, please fill my heart with longing for You and recognize that longing can only be filled by finding You. Please stir my understanding to realize I long for You and crave Your presence. I confess that I have often sought relief for my spirit's hunger with things that do not satisfy and often enslave. O, Holy Spirit, please help me recognize that all other sources of satisfaction are temporary and false. Lord Jesus, I promise to pursue You, your will, and Your presence through obedience to Your word and in conformity to Your lifestyle, for I know I most need to rest in Your presence and grace. Amen.
