Contact us to discuss how we can partner together on your next project Anne and Dean Burgoon are originally from Dundas, Ontario.

Eastern Ontario Property Management Group, formally known as Burgoon Management, was founded in 2007 by Anne and Dean Burgoon. Anne's background is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dean's background is in Engineering. Both being self employed at the time, they decided to purchase Condominiums in Brockville as investments for their "retirement plan". Upon entering the condominium world and seeing the status of their investment, they knew they needed to understand the condominium Industry a bit better. Dean joined the Board of Directors while still living in Dundas and became more involved with the day-to-day operations and management. He discussed the problems that the Board was facing with Anne and Anne knew that there were other Condominium Corporation's out there facing the same problems. They both felt the need to get involved in the Condominium industry to help other Condominium Corporations

They moved to Prescott, Ontario in 2009 when they decided to start "Burgoon Management" out of their home. They started with managing 3 Condominium Corporations, a Leasing Division of 120 units, and 2 staff. In 2016 the company moved to Brockville and re-branded to Eastern Ontario Property Management Group (EOPMG). Fast forward 8 years and EOPMG now manages over 90 Condominium Corporations and 239 rental units all over Eastern Ontario and employs 33 staff not only in Brockville but in surrounding areas of Ottawa, Smiths Falls, Cornwall, and Kemptville.

Call For Members of the Advisory Committee

The CMRAO Advisory Committee exists pursuant to Section 7.2 (4) of the CMRAO’s administrative agreement that requires the Board of Directors to establish an advisory process for direct input to the Board on issues of importance to consumers and licensees.

The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) invites interested individuals to join its Advisory Committee. We are currently looking to put together a roster of individuals available for consultations in person, or via electronic surveys.

Overview
The CMRAO is a not-for-profit corporation funded by the licensing fees paid by the condo management sector and governed by an independent board of directors. The CMRAO is mandated to provide consumer protection for Ontarians living in condominiums by setting standards and enforcing mandatory licensing of condo managers and condo management firms.
The CMRAO Advisory Committee is created pursuant to Section 7.2 (4) of the CMRAO’s administrative agreement that requires the Board of Directors to establish an advisory process for direct input to the Board on issues of importance to consumers and licensees within one year of the date of designation
The Advisory Committee is not a committee of the CMRAO Board. Members will serve on a voluntary basis on the approval of the Board.

Purpose
The committee is established to:
Participate in consultations on specific topics such as education, information material on issues of interest to coco communities, etc
Provide input on emerging topics in the condominium management sector and other topics that may influence condo management;
Provide feedback and recommendations on the development of the CMRAO’s licencing policies, education documents, and other general documents of importance for the condo management sector.

Term
Advisory Committee members shall be appointed to terms determined by the Board. Terms shall be staggered to ensure continuity of the Committee’s functionality.

Qualifications
While expressions of interest from all Ontarians are welcomed, the CMRAO is primarily looking for representatives from across the condominium sector, including condo owners/residents, condo board directors, and professionals operating in the sector.
No more than one (1) member may represent a single corporation or entity.
Members must be computer literate.

Expected Contribution
The Advisory Committee will be convened at the request of the Board or the Registrar for feedback on specific topics. Members can expect to meet at least once per year.
Meetings can be held electronically by teleconference or in person depending on the nature of the topic to be discussed

In addition, the CMRAO may consult with the committee through surveys or other means that don’t involve travelling.

Meeting agendas and supporting documents will be sent to each member in advance of the meeting date.

How to apply:
Please submit a letter of interest (limited to one page) outlining your qualifications and the reason why you would like to be a member of the CMRAO Advisory Committee to [email protected] by April 30th, 2019
