❄️ Winter Driving Safety Tip - from your local REALTOR® ❄️
Ahead of the bitter cold and snowstorm this weekend I thought I would share a list of essentials that - especially with temps below -10°C - could save your life (and someone else's) if roads close or you get stuck.
Quick Winter “Just in Case” Kit:
*Fully charged phone + car charger/power bank
*Warm blanket
*Extra mitts, hat, socks (and a spare sweater)
*Water + high-energy snacks (granola bars, nuts, etc.)
*Flashlight/headlamp
*First aid kit
*Shovel + traction aid (sand/kitty litter)
*Jumper cables
*A printed contact list (in case your phone dies)
and lastly, but not to be underestimated, a tea light + matches (small, easy to pack). This can provide much needed warmth in an enclosed vehicle as well as light.
If you’re heading out, let someone know your route + ETA, and keep your gas tank above half. Stay safe out there - winter can turn fast. 🚗💨❄️
