On behalf of the Quebec Hazara community, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished guests who honored us with their presence at our Hazara Cultural Day, including the Mayor of Brossard, Madam Doreen Assaad and the representative from the City of Longueuil, Madame Affine Lwalalika .
Your presence among our community was deeply meaningful and truly elevated the spirit of the event. It reflected strong support for cultural diversity, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue—values that are essential in building a united and respectful society.
Hazara Cultural Day is a celebration of our identity, heritage, and resilience. The Hazara people have a rich history, with a unique culture, language, music, and traditions that have been preserved despite many historical challenges. This event is an opportunity to share our culture with the wider community, to promote understanding, and to strengthen bonds between different cultures in Québec.
Through traditional music, cultural performances, and community gathering, we celebrate who we are while also building bridges with others. It is not only a celebration of the past but also a message of hope, unity, and a shared future.
We sincerely thank all our guests, volunteers, and community members who contributed to making this day a success.
Your support means a great deal to us, and we are truly grateful for your encouragement and presence.
Sincerely,
Huma Sakandar
General Director, Quebec Hazara Community
