We recently completed planning, architectural design, interior design, and engineering work on a new mixed-use development. Located in Kitchener, Ontario, this project seamlessly blends neighborhood characteristics with contemporary design. The design incorporates the traditional red brick seen along the Frederick and Bruce Street facades, while introducing modern elements. In contrast to the red brick, sections of the facade feature modern stucco and ACM panel finishes, highlighted by expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that serve as the main tenant entrance on Frederick Street. Linear horizontal windows along the parking area and Bruce Street further enhance the contemporary aesthetic. The building’s construction emphasizes sustainability, utilizing highly efficient wood construction methods. To promote urban sustainability, it includes dedicated indoor and outdoor bicycle parking, encouraging a cycling-friendly lifestyle.
Located on the first floor, the state-of-the-art medical clinic includes seven exam rooms, a spacious reception area, nurse stations, a staff room, offices, and a barrier-free accessible washroom, designed to provide high quality healthcare services. Thoughtful space planning ensures optimal flow and functionality throughout the clinic, enhancing the overall user experience for doctors and patients.
The second and third floors offer large executive two-bedroom plus den units, each with two washrooms and a private outdoor area. High-end finishes, ensuite laundry, and functional design elements complete these luxurious residences. A large outdoor rooftop amenity space provides tenants with beautiful panoramic views, creating a serene retreat within the urban environment.
