🌽 TODAY IS TUESDAY, AUGUST 18th 🌽
Our Farm Stand is OPEN today from 9AM-7PM and our Corny Crew is ready to serve you more Snyders Corn!
🌽 FREEZING SNYDER’S CORN FOR WINTER 🌽
Want to enjoy Snyder’s Sweet Corn all winter?!? Freezing your own is easy…and SO much better than packaged frozen corn!
🌽 BOIL…Cook corn for 3 minutes after the water returns to a boil.
🌽 COOL…Cool the cobs in cold water.
🌽 CUT & FREEZE…Cut kernels off the cob and spread on parchment. Freeze about 1½ hours, then transfer to freezer bags. Squeeze out the air, seal and lay flat.
🌽 TIP…I prefer freezing kernels instead of whole cobs. IMO, the cob acts like a sponge and you lose that crisp summer crunch when reheating! Plus, kernels take up MUCH less freezer space!
🌽 ENJOY…Reheat frozen corn with a little water for 5–8 minutes. Drain, add butter, salt and pepper…and it will taste like summertime!
🌽 HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU FREEZE?
From October until July is about 38 weeks. If 1 cob = about 1 cup of kernels, and you eat about ½ cup of frozen corn per meal, you can easily figure out how much your family needs to enjoy Snyder’s Corn once a week all winter!
🌽 The taste of summer doesn’t have to end when the season does! 🌽
