When reading this "The wealthiest cities in the world" article http://www.aluxurytravelblog.com/2013/05/15/the-wealthiest-cities-in-the-world/ , I wonder how accurate the report really is. The rich and famous in the emerging markets really don't want people to find out their wealth for political reasons. Happy to see Toronto is on both "millionaires" and "multi-millionaires" lists but out from the "billionaires" list. According to this report, Tokyo is the real winner. Dubai only on the "Billionaires" list but not the other...go figure..They don't have millionaires, only billionaires I guess..

BBC recently has a report on "The Rise of the global middle class". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22956470 Asia is almost entirely responsible for this growth. Its middle class is forecast to triple to 1.7 billion by 2020. Within a decade, the middle class in Europe and North America will be less than a third of the world's total, down from more than half now. So who counts as middle class? it's someone who earns or spends $10 to $100 per day. So, regardless what business you are in, if you are an entrepreneur, this study would help us position ourselves for our future business.

2 major Canadian cities have high ranking for foreign-born residents.
Toronto ranks #3 and Vancouver ranks #4 after Dubai and Brussels. The diversity differences between the 2 cities is Toronto, for instance, has more people from Caribbean and the Middle East. Vancouver has a higher percentage from China and northern India.
