Real Brokerage just announced it’s acquiring REMAX in an $880 million deal - creating one of the largest real estate platforms in the world. 180,000 agents. 120+ countries. $2.3B in revenue.

I’ve been at Real for a while now. I chose this brokerage because of the technology, the culture, and a model that actually puts agents first. Today that decision feels really, really good.
But here’s what I really want to say -

To every REMAX agent seeing this: you’re not being absorbed. You’re being welcomed into one of the most agent-forward communities in this industry. The culture here is warm, the support is real, and you’re not losing anything. You’re gaining something.

And to anyone who’s been watching Real from the sideline, wondering if it’s the right move - this is a pretty loud signal.

This latest assessment comes as council has hiked property taxes.

The decision was made back in November during council's mid-cycle budget adjustments.
Combining residential and non-residential properties, the increase amounts to 3.6 per cent overall.
Condo owners will see the most significant hike, with an average increase of 10.5 per cent.
The city says a condo assessed at $360,000 will pay approximately $1,370 in property taxes this year.
The tax rate for single-family homes is jumping 5.5 per cent, which translates to an increase of about $8 per month for a median-priced home valued at $700,000.
