The Calgary market feels different right now… and a lot of people can’t quite put their finger on why.
A few months ago, buying a home felt like trying to grab the last item on a shelf.
Multiple offers. No time to think. Stressful.
Now? It feels more like walking into a store that just restocked.
More options.
Less pressure.
You can actually take your time.
But here’s where it gets confusing 👇
Not everything is moving the same way.
If you’re looking at detached homes, things are still pretty steady.
Good homes are still selling, and prices aren’t dropping much.
But if you’re looking at condos, it’s a totally different story.
There are a lot more options, and sellers are having to compete harder.
So when you hear:
“It’s a buyer’s market”
“Prices are down”
“Things are balanced”
All of that is true… just in different parts of the market.
Big picture: There are more homes for sale, and buyers aren’t rushing like before.
That doesn’t mean the market is crashing.
It just means you have to be a bit more strategic now, whether you’re buying or selling.
