This Mother’s Day, I find myself most grateful for the little moments, the ones that might seem ordinary to everyone else, but somehow become everything to a mother.
The quiet “I love yous” whispered in passing, tiny hands reaching for mine, unexpected hugs and kisses, morning cuddles that make the day stand still for just a little longer, and afternoon walks with my son where the conversations are simple, but somehow mean so much. Even the quick trips to Home Depot become little adventures when seen through his eyes.
Motherhood has shown me that life is not made up of the big milestones alone, it is built in these small, fleeting moments that pass far too quickly and somehow leave the deepest imprint on your heart.
This Mother’s Day feels even more emotional as we prepare to welcome our daughter into a home already overflowing with love. After a year of heartbreak and loss, carrying new life has reminded me just how fragile, beautiful, and precious this journey truly is. My heart is especially with the mothers who are longing, grieving, healing, waiting, or still trying to find their way through it all.
There is no perfect guide to motherhood. No way to always get it right. But I think being a mother is found in the simplest things, loving without limits, listening when the little things feel big to them, protecting their hearts while teaching them to be strong, and showing up every single day, even when you’re tired, overwhelmed, or unsure.
And somehow, in the middle of all the chaos, they become your entire world. 🤍
