20 Years ago today on December 11th, 2004 I proposed to this pretty girl. She was still working at The Keg & I waited in our apartment for her to come home. Had a roaring fire going in the wood-burning fireplace & rose petals on the floor. Unfortunately, her last table of diners were “campers” & she got home 90 minutes later than I expected. I was down to my last log - the fire was meek. At first glance when she walked in she thought the red rose petals were a bag of Ketchup Chips that I accidentally burst open! 😂. The proposal, with me down on a knee in front of the fire, was nowhere near as romantic as I anticipated! Thankfully she said “Yes” and our marriage, our family and the life we built together have exceeded my expectations!
