Happy October! September is wrapped and the Calgary market had a lot going on, so here's your quick monthly snapshot. Swipe through for the numbers by property type.
DETACHED: 896 sales, up more than 4% from last year. Conditions stayed fairly balanced, with a benchmark price of $739,400.
SEMI-DETACHED: benchmark price of $685,200, about the same as this time last year.
ROW: benchmark price of $412,400, down nearly 6% from last year. More inventory means more choice for buyers.
APARTMENT: 343 sales and 717 new listings. The benchmark price of $291,400 is down more than 8% from last year, so buyers have room to negotiate.
OVERALL: 1,650 total sales, about the same as August. There's just under 4 months of supply, but conditions really depend on the property type and the area.

Alpine Bark!! I awoke this morning to the cutest little text of this adorable duo from my clients who are settling into their new home this weekend! ❤️ This adorable duo are such an important part of the family and it was so cute to see they too are settling nicely into the new home & I'm sure enjoying all the walks in the neighbourhood! When their owners and I were shopping for their home these guys were on top of our minds as well! Love it! Nothing cuter! Alpine park actually has a dog park called Alpine Bark! So you know it's going to be a great place for these two! Wishing this furry duo lots of awesome new pup memories in their beautiful home and neighborhood! Have fun in the hood guys meeting some new friends. ❤️🐶!
