What a great day at the Springbank Fall Fair, despite being a little cool and windy.

It was wonderful to see so many friends, neighbours and familiar faces out enjoying one of those events that reminds us what makes Springbank such a special community.

A big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put this year’s Fall Fair together, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello.

🍂 Springbank’s Old Tyme Fall Fair is Today! 🍂

One of my favourite Springbank traditions is back!

Saturday, September 12, the 54th Annual Springbank Old Tyme Fall Fair takes over Springbank Park For All Seasons for a day celebrating the community, agriculture and country traditions that make Springbank such a special place to call home. Admission is FREE, and the fair runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

There will be plenty to see and do, including the Fall Fair Vendor Market, the Agriculture & Horticulture Bench Show in the Curling Rink, and this year’s special “Mini Scarecrow” competition. Awards will be presented in the main parking lot between 3:00 and 4:00 PM.

There’s even a chance to help name Springbank Park’s brand-new Olympia ice resurfacing machine, with complimentary ice time going to the winning entry.

I’ll be there enjoying the day and handing out some ice-cold Jason Bamlett water—so if you see me, please come over, say hello and grab a bottle. 💧

Events like this are a wonderful reminder that Springbank is much more than a place on a map. It’s a community with deep agricultural roots, great traditions and neighbours who still come together to celebrate them.

🏠 Benchmark Price: $570,500 (down 3.0% year-over-year)

📉 Sales: 2,162 (down 15.5%)

📋 New Listings: 4,226 (down 12.7%)

📦 Inventory: 6,752 active listings

📅 Months of Supply: 3.12 (up 18.5%)

⏱ Average Days on Market: 34 (up 5.1%)

What does this mean?

Buyers are seeing more choice, less competition, and increased opportunities to negotiate. Sellers can still achieve strong results, but accurate pricing and strategic marketing are becoming increasingly important as inventory levels rise and homes take longer to sell.

While Calgary remains a healthy market overall, we’re continuing to move away from the extreme seller’s market conditions of recent years and toward a more balanced environment.
