2025 P*e Wee Banquet.
Greyson Gouveia : MVP.

Man… this one means a lot. This isn’t just another award. This locks Greyson into the history of the Stampeders P*e Wee football program. MVP at this age is huge, it says you’re the guy everyone looks to, the one setting the tone for the whole team.

An MVP isn’t just the kid making big plays. It’s the kid who shows up early, stays late, lifts his teammates up, keeps pushing when things get tough, and makes everyone around him better. That’s who Greyson was all season.

I can’t even explain how proud I am. I watched him put in the extra work when nobody else was around. The offseason grind, the cold days, the camps, the late nights throwing together and honestly, those moments were some of the most fun I’ve had with him.

Seeing all that work pay off… that’s the stuff that shapes real character.

Congrats buddy, you earned every bit of it. 🏆🔥

Man… what a full-circle moment 🙏💚

After 24 years, I finally got to take my boys back to my old high school — Palo Verde. Walking those halls again, seeing Coach Jarvis and Coach Ortale after all these years, and even stepping into the locker room brought back so many memories.

The best part? Watching my boys run routes and catching touchdown passes on the same field I used to score on 🔥 Seeing the freshman squad out there grinding was such an inspiration for them too — and getting a picture together made it even more special.

Huge blessing to reconnect with old friends and share that moment with my sons. This one definitely goes down as a highlight of the year. 🙌💯

Proud dad moment right here 🙌❄️ My little buddy #82 played his first snow game this weekend, only 8 years old and out there grinding on both sides of the ball! 💪 Big tackles on defense, solid catches on offense, and even took one to the house for a TD! 🏈
🔥 Love seeing his passion and heart out there.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. My son battled through adversity, put the team on his back scoring 3 TD’s, and refused to quit. Against all odds, he tied the game and showed what true heart and leadership look like. Moments like these remind me why we love this game.

Hey everyone! Big news just dropped from the Bank of Canada, they’ve chopped the interest rate by 0.25% to help ease some pressure on a softening economy.

🔍 What this means
• The policy (overnight) rate is now 2.50% — that’s the rate the BoC uses when lending to banks. 
• That usually ripples out: many banks adjust their Prime rate accordingly. Mortgage forecasts (like from True North) are seeing Prime go to ~4.70% as a result. 

🤔 Why the cut?
• The job market is softening and inflation has cooled enough that doing nothing could risk tipping things in the wrong direction. 
• External pressure (trade, global economy) is adding uncertainty. 
• The idea is to balance risk: encourage activity without fueling inflation.

💡 What it could mean for you
• If you’ve got a variable rate mortgage, your payments might drop a bit.
• Fixed-rate buyers should watch bond yields; some fixed rates respond more slowly.
• For folks thinking of buying, this could make things slightly more affordable — good time to explore options.
• But still: this isn’t a green light to go all in. Economic uncertainty means things could shift.
