Want to know the secret to a happy marriage? Our favourite Pullins say it's plenty of golf, a great sense of humour, and Baesars.

It turns out that swinging clubs and sinking (sometimes more like missing) putts is the perfect recipe for keeping the love alive. Who would have guessed? 😉

Since golf season is in full swing, we have a fun links-themed office challenge for you! 😉

It's quite simple. All you have to do is grab a golf scorecard and at the end of the day, ask yourself, "How did I do today?" Then mark your scores for each workday.

➖ Birdie or eagle for rockstar status.
🟰 Par for an average day.
➕ Bogey or double-bogey for days when you fell short (don't stress, just score honestly and aim better for tomorrow).

After a month, review your scores to get a clear picture of whether or not you're on your way to a 5 ⭐️ rating from others!

Last month, Mark and Steve attended the Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association British Columbia Conference & Tradeshow. To say they had fun would be a total understatement!

Mark's highlight was listening to the one and only Wally Buono! His message was about responsibility versus loyalty, and how these two elements impact our choices every day. And ultimately, responsibility should always trump loyalty because the responsibility to our owners, our team, and our customers outweighs the loyalty we may have to individuals. What a great reminder for us to take into our business and day-to-day operations!

What do you get when you put a lot of broker partners in one room? A fixed rate of laughter and a variable amount of puns! 😏

All jokes aside, Mark attended St. Partner's Day last month, which was a fantastic networking event sponsored by about 20 lenders. 1. Dress with confidence – for Mark, his bow tie is the go-to look for events and it typically sparks a conversation.

2. Be a golden retriever of small talk – go ahead and dive into conversations with enthusiasm, just keep the slobbery kisses to yourself. 😂

3. Follow up with the connections you make – show your reliability and establish trust, which is also important in creating the ultimate customer experience.

Feeling the heat on a tough mortgage deal? The Private Lending Firefighter is on call! 😆

This firefighter getup is not all smoke and mirrors (pun intended 😉). It's Mark's playful way of showing that we are ready to tackle the heat of challenging mortgage situations head-on.

We felt like taking a trip down memory lane to 2022, when event invites finally didn’t start with ‘Click here to join…’!

Steve and Mark's biggest challenge at that evening was translating their hieroglyphics that passed for handwriting on business cards. Although they did perfectly navigate through the many inside-industry jokes with their 'polite laugh.'

Here's to more years of navigating the industry's ebbs and flows with the same finesse, one shindig at a time. 😉
