Starting today, October 1, 2026, more packaging and paper products can be recycled in Alberta.

For Rocky View County residents with County managed curbside recycling:
♻️ BluPlanet continues collection service.
♻️ Rocky View County continues to assist with recycling cart repairs.
♻️ Newly accepted materials can now be placed in your recycling cart, following the updated guide.

For Rocky View County residents recycling at waste and recycling centres:
♻️ Use the new single-stream recycling bins for accepted packaging and paper products.
♻️ No more sorting common recyclables into separate material streams.

🔥 Proposed Bragg Creek Community Fireguard - learn more Sept. 28

Rocky View County is working with FRIAA and Alberta Forestry and Parks on a proposed community fireguard west of Bragg Creek.

The project is still in the planning stage - no funding has been approved and no decision has been made to proceed.
