This May Real Estate Update Could Change Your Timing

The Calgary real estate market continues to show resilience as we move deeper into the spring market.

May has brought increased inventory and stronger overall market activity, giving buyers more choice while still maintaining healthy demand across many price points. Although conditions are becoming more balanced in certain segments, well-priced homes in desirable communities are continuing to move quickly.

Interest remains especially strong for turnkey properties, family homes, and well-located townhomes and condos. Buyers are becoming more selective, which means presentation, pricing, and marketing strategy matter more than ever for sellers looking to stand out.

Here’s what we’re seeing right now:

- More listings entering the market compared to earlier this year
- Continued activity in the mid-price ranges
- Buyers are taking a more strategic and patient approach
- Strong demand for updated, move-in-ready homes
- Increased attention on lifestyle communities and walkability
