The market continued to cool through August just like our weather. Sales were down 16% in comparison to last year.

The biggest pressure continues to be in apartments and other higher-density properties, while detached and semi-detached homes remain more balanced.

Calgarys benchmark price dropped down 1% to: $569,800

A few area highlights:
• Calgary West End: $719,200 - up 1.6%
• City Centre: $580,000 - up 1.1%
• Airdrie: $596,200 - down 5.4%
• Cochrane: $653,900 - down 4.4%
• Okotoks: $685,800 - down 2.3%

The takeaway? Calgary isn’t just one market right now.
