This year I’m especially thankful for being so lucky to live in a country we call Canada.🇨🇦

Grateful that my dad is no longer suffering and the undeniable proof he’s given us that there is some sort of continuation beyond this plane of existence.🙏

Thankful for the care and genuineness of my friends, the gift of having my children, and the experience of being a mom.

Every year I’m thankful for all my clients and the wonderful people and couples I get to cross paths with, work with and meet. Truly. I somehow end up with the best ones.🙏

Last bouquet from my garden before it snows tomorrow…🌸💐🌺 This is my first year gardening and I still have so much to learn! Pretty sure I have killed two roses and a hosta already. We’ll see if there is any hope next spring.🙂

Welcome to my new followers. I thought I should use a moment to re-introduce myself.

There is so much to share! But let’s call this Part One and start with the basics…

My name is Marta Raczkowska. Sometimes referred to as The Real Estate Mother. DoCalgaryRealEstate is my real estate branch, though as you see I tend to share a variety of things outside of this.

I have to try really hard not to post too much on Politics but honestly it kills me most of the time. 👉my heart pumps blood with genuine advocacy for others. And sometimes I do break the rules.

I am technically a first generation immigrant who was Born in a little village in Poland, close to the middle at the border with Germany. And ended up in Canada with my parents and my younger sister around the age of 7. (In 1988/89?)

Growing up we experienced the typical first generation challenges. Where every dollar saved or spent truly mattered. And we absolutely never would think to pay for anything at the full price. Which I would like to think translates well now into my Real Estate Career and helping my clients👉I am innately conditioned to be a deal seeker.

I grew up in a few places within Toronto, but mainly split between Main st. & Danforth, then Scarborough and ending in Oakville in my college years for those who are familiar.

I have worked in sales positions since I was around 12 years old!

But I also took studies in psychology at York University, followed by specializing in the creation of glass and ceramics at Sheridan University (I also learned how to weld here as a fun fact), and coming to Calgary to get my degree in Fine Arts at the Calgary University for the Arts. (About 20 years ago now)👉I know exactly what people need, are worried about and are going through if they’re thinking of relocating here.

My Fine Arts degree led me to work within interior design, where I met and worked with repeat clients and investors. This naturally planted the seeds and my eventual path forward into my Career in Real Estate. But it wasn’t the ultimate reason or push. (will share more on this in a Part 2)

Hello Mount Royal!

With the greetings of Fall comes some slowness towards winter, and I am so excited to be able to utilize some time towards some extra studies and feeling a bit more like a student again!

My course of studies; Mediation & Conflict Resolution

Why? 👉To add some more tools to my toolbox, especially in working with my divorce clients and helping them maneuver best through their Real Estate needs. 💕

The first week is already upon us, and I had no idea how in love I’d be with taking on this continuing Ed course! Love, Love, Love it! And so glad I’ve added this to my mix.🙌

Although much of these courses are online and with Google meets, I’m hoping to come into campus at least one day a week. If you see me, don’t be a stranger!
