There is absolutely nothing like coming home after a trip away.

We recently spent a few days exploring Panorama, BC, hiking beautiful trails, visiting the Paint Pots and Numa Falls, relaxing in the hot springs, and enjoying everything the resort has to offer.

Our trip ended a little earlier than planned after a wildfire caused a widespread power outage in the area. Thankfully, we were able to make it home safely.

It wasn't the ending we expected, but it was a wonderful reminder that the best adventures aren't always the perfectly planned ones.

And after a few days away, it was also a reminder of just how special it feels to come home. Helping others find that feeling is one of the things I love most about what I do. ❤️🏔️

It's hard to think about anything else.

Like so many Calgarians, our family spent some time driving through the search area on Sunday, hoping in some small way we could help. We left feeling both disappointed and hopeful. Now, days later, the search for Parker continues. I've continued to think about Parker, his family, his friends, and everyone who has been working tirelessly to bring him home.

As the days pass, my heart continues to ache for everyone affected, for Parker, his family, and every person dedicating their time and energy to finding him. I can't imagine the uncertainty they're living through.

While we were in the community, I witnessed something beautiful in the middle of something heartbreaking. Hand-painted signs in front yards. Neighbours checking their properties. Complete strangers giving their time, energy, and hope for a family they've never met. It was a powerful reminder of what community truly looks like.

I'm incredibly grateful for every volunteer, first responder, search team member, and neighbour who has shown up throughout this search.

May Parker's family continue to feel the strength, compassion, and hope of an entire city standing beside them. ❤️

👢 We have a winner!

A huge congratulations to Cailyn, who won the $100 Lammle's gift card from my Cranston Stampede Breakfast raffle!

The best part? She had her eye on a pair of cowboy boots she'd been wanting for a while, and now they're hers, along with a gorgeous belt buckle to complete the look. 🤠

Seeing her excitement made my day.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth, entered the raffle, and spent a few minutes chatting with me. I genuinely loved meeting so many people from our community and can't wait for more opportunities to connect throughout the summer.
