Choosing a Realtor? You may be looking at the wrong things. 🏡
Years in business.
Sales numbers.
Team size.
Awards.
They can all tell you something - but they don’t necessarily tell you what it will actually feel like to work with someone.
Real estate is personal. And when you’re making one of the largest financial decisions of your life, I think there are better questions to ask.
Will they communicate with you - even when there isn’t much to report?
Do they genuinely care about your outcome?
Will they actually be the person working with you?
Can they negotiate strategically without creating unnecessary conflict?
Will they tell you the uncomfortable truth when it’s in your best interest?
And perhaps the simplest question of all:
Do you actually like them?
Because there may be stressful conversations, unexpected problems, negotiations, inspections, late-night questions and decisions that don’t always go according to plan.
You want someone you trust beside you through all of it.
Experience matters. Strategy matters. Results matter.
But so do communication, judgement, care and character.
The right Realtor shouldn’t simply be good at selling houses.
They should be good at looking after people. 🤎
