The market continues to show stability and opportunity. With the first quarter behind us and looking back at April, improved supply levels continue to dictate balanced conditions.
The detached sector remains relatively flat. Although inventory is up year over year, April 2026 saw a slight decrease (-1.75%) compared to April of last year.
The attached sectors have seen a heavier inventory increase, which has reduced urgency and provided buyers with more choice.
The BoC held the policy interest rate at 2.25% in its last announcement on April 29, adopting a "wait and see" approach for future announcements. Most economists expect rates to hold for the rest of the year.
Overall, the Calgary market has remained stable, and this trend will likely continue for the rest of 2026.
