It’s the standard I hold myself to, and it’s one of the primary principles I try to instill in my kids from an early age.

The older I get, the more I realize how valuable this is šŸ’„

Dropping the price is not always the best strategy. Period.

We have to look at the whole picture.

What are similar homes selling for around us? What kind of traction are they getting with regards to showings? What’s going on in the community in general?

All of these are important questions that, as realtors, we must answer before simply jumping to a price reduction. Now more than ever, we must be diligent in our approach and thorough in our research.

Perhaps the most significant area of growth in my life is in my spiritual journey and walk with Jesus.

Over the years, I’ve deepened my relationship with Jesus, and doing so has forced me to look at the parts of myself that I don’t particularly love or are not particularly proud of.

I work on them by filtering all that I do through Word of God, and learning to submit to His will for me.

In the Christian life, this process has a word, and it’s sanctification.

While the process of sanctification is often uncomfortable, it’s like a piece of metal going into a fire. The impurities get burned away, leaving behind what is beautiful, pure, and ready to be shaped.

Through the structure of the teaching schedule here at the brokerage, Summer time allows me an opportunity to take a step back from the volume of teaching that I would normally do.

Summer is a great time to refine our business practices. Oftentimes, we’re still serving clients, but there tends to be a little more flexibility in the schedule.

As a realtor, I would recommend using this time to check into your systems and processes, refine them, and if needed, add certain new components or technology. Doing this can have a reverberating effect on your business, but so can not doing it.

Choose wisely.

Comment ā€œEFFICENCYā€ and I’ll send you my list of tech.

šŸ˜…All kidding aside, Real estate is a tough gig, and unless you’re in the daily grind of it, it’s tough to understand just how tough it can be.

There is a statistic stating that nine out of 10 realtors do not make it in the business within their first five years. That’s a 90% failure rate. Let that sink in for a second

From the outside looking in it can look like all sunshine and rainbows. Oftentimes I hear that as realtors, all we do is open doors, film social media videos, and get paid absorbent amounts of money to do it.

The reality is, this is just not the case.
