Broadstreet Properties is expanding access to electric vehicle charging in Alberta through the completion of a new infrastructure project supported by the Electric Vehicle Charging Program.
The project includes the installation of six EV charging stations across three Broadstreet properties in Alberta:
Suncrest Apartments in Sylvan Lake
Jardin Apartments in St. Albert
Fairmont Views in Lethbridge
Open to both Broadstreet tenants and the public, the new charging stations help increase access to convenient, reliable EV infrastructure in three Alberta communities. By placing chargers at residential properties in high-use, everyday locations, the project supports the growing adoption of electric vehicles while adding practical infrastructure that benefits tenants, visitors and local drivers alike.
The Electric Vehicle Charging Program is delivered by Alberta Municipalities with funding from Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.
“Expanding access to EV charging is an important step in supporting our tenants and investing in infrastructure that benefits the broader community,” said Kris D. Mailman, Chief Executive Officer at Broadstreet Properties and Seymour Pacific Developments. “These new stations make charging more convenient and accessible, while reflecting our continued commitment to practical, forward-looking improvements across our properties.”
The new installations build on Broadstreet’s broader investment in EV charging infrastructure across Canada. In 2025, Broadstreet recorded 34,042 charging sessions, dispensed 673,903 kWh of energy, and helped avoid 705,000 kg of greenhouse gas emissions across its EV charging network.
As electric vehicle adoption continues to grow, access to dependable public charging infrastructure is becoming increasingly important. Projects like this help remove barriers to EV use by making charging more available in the places people already live, visit and travel through.
Broadstreet continues to invest in amenities and infrastructure that respond to changing needs while helping strengthen the long-term sustainability and convenience of its communities.
