Done and done ✅ another awesome year of Mel’s in the books!

Run went pretty well overall, ended up a cooler rainy one this year but hey, that’s Fall in the mountains for ya. Never really know what you’re going to get!

Always love this race to wrap up my season each year. Feels like a reward just to be there and be a part of it all.

Already looking ahead at the calendar for ‘27 to see what I can line up.

Not sure about you, but September here always feels extra full and busy each year 🍂✨

With all things back to school and the kid’s calendars quickly filling up. Work, planning, and soaking up those last beauty days of summer sun ☀️

Yep, it can feel a bit wild at times.

But it’s also filled with family, special little moments, and new starts. A lot of fun, excitement, and new memories.

And I wouldn’t trade all that for anything🤍

Between work, school, the kid’s crazy busy schedules, family, and all the rest of life’s usual things…

Even the slightest thoughts of all the home prep and showings.

All the packing, cleaning, coordinating, and moving.

Plus thoughts of dealing with another mortgage.

All while trying to find that next-right-for-you home in the Bow Valley.

Is all absolutely enough to make anyone’s head spin.

And easily feel like you have another full time job, at the same time life’s already extra full and busy.

It’s no wonder why all those plans for selling and moving to your family’s next home keep getting pushed into the future.

And why ‘we’ll do it next season’ has become all too familiar.

Thing is, you don’t have to do it all on your own.

It was a beautiful Fall day to get out for a little run today.

Love when race week comes around.

Always a good time to reflect on all the time, km’s, and work put in so far.

Plus look forward to the big day, all the anticipation, excitement, and sense of accomplishment, it brings with it.

Hoping the weather holds out this weekend!

Though when it comes to Fall in the mountains, you never can be too sure on what you’re going to get (which is why layers are always your friend!)

September definitely brings out the golden season, tonnes of beautiful scenery, and all the warm and cozy things around here.

It’s absolutely my most favorite season 🍂✨

Because, as they say…If nothing changes, nothing changes…

That’s why every next Monday.

Every next month, or next year.

Will keep showing up the same. Like a scene from Groundhog Day, or something.

Meaning all those same frustrations. Same challenges and daily chaos.

Are all bound to continue.

If nothing changes.

And here’s the thing, you don’t have to have it figured out all at once.

But by spending more time wishing and dreaming that your family had more bathrooms. Bigger bedrooms.

A bigger yard, or better storage.

Means more time spent living in that same daily chaos, in , likely too small of a home for what your family actually needs now.

Save this for when you’re looking for something fun to do on a sunny Fall aft in the mountains!

Canmore has so many cute shops, galleries, restaurants, pubs, and coffee houses☀️ The downtown area is super close to the beautiful Bow River and famous Engine bridge too (my most favorite spot in town!)

Which all makes a stop to check out Canmore’s super cute downtown, a definite must-do when you’re here.
