My Hometown 🤩

Didsbury
The first settlers came from Ontario. The Calgary-Edmonton railroad was built in 1891. A school and immigration hall opened in 1896. The store and United Church were built in 1899. A grind mill began in 1900, and the first Sports Day was held in 1901.
In 1902, two doctors, a J.P., a hardware store and post office started business in 1902, and an Evangelical Church was built. Didsbury was a town by 1906, and Neapolis store opened to the east. A library and Didsbury School were built in 1908. Didsbury has 5,200 people today.
