Once again this year, I have chosen to captain a team at our local Terry Fox Run to raise funds for cancer research. Just yesterday, a new drug to treat pancreatic cancer was approved in the US. Too late for my friend, but research is still promising! Someday, we will have a cure. I believe it, and I want to be a part of it.

I am one of the lucky ones. My treatment was surgery alone. I got to skip the horrors of chemo and radiation. But, cancer never leaves my mind. It's always there, with every new ache or pain. I worry that I worry too much. And, I worry that I won't worry enough and I'll miss something. It's a terrible beast of a disease, and I need your help to fund the research.

I would love to have you join my team! If you know me at all, you'll know I'm not a runner. So, I will be walking. Would love all the company I can get! If you can't join, a donation would be amazing! And, of neither of those is an option, feel free to simply share this post so it gets seen! Thank you in advance for helping to support Terry's dream.

We forgot to post this yesterday for National Dog Day! These are our Favourite Five! Two retrievers belong to us, two belong to our oldest daughter and the happy border collie in the back belongs to our youngest daughter. With both girls heading off on travel adventures next week, all five will be at our place for the first two weeks of September! Let the fun begin!
