🗃️CKAR Executive is pleased to attend the RECO Collaboration Summit: Building a Modern Regulator - Shaping the Future of Regulatory Oversight, bringing together leaders from across Ontario’s real estate sector to discuss the future of regulation and consumer protection.

The summit is focused on RECO’s move toward a more proactive, data-driven and modern regulatory approach, including upcoming changes for Ontario brokerages.

Beginning this fall, brokerages will be required to submit an annual financial filing, followed by monthly trust reconciliations beginning in 2027. These measures are designed to help identify risks earlier, provide more targeted support and strengthen consumer protection across Ontario’s real estate marketplace.

CKAR values opportunities like this to stay informed, participate in important industry conversations and ensure our members and brokerages are prepared as regulatory requirements continue to evolve.

Thank you to the Real Estate Council of Ontario for bringing industry leaders together for an informative and collaborative summit.

🗣️A Message From The Real Estate Council of Ontario:

Beginning this fall, brokerages will be required to submit an annual financial filing, followed by monthly trust reconciliations in 2027. These measures will help RECO identify risks earlier, target resources and intervene before issues become consumer-protection events.

We know change requires support. That’s why we’ve engaged the sector throughout the development of the annual financial filings program—from roundtables and user testing to upcoming webinars this month and next.
