The City of Chilliwack is currently asking residents to select cart sizes by Sept 30th as there will be a new Curbside Collection Program beginning on May 1st, 2026. Residents will receive standardized carts for garbage and recycling. More info : https://www.chilliwack.com/main/page.cfm?id=3239

IMPORTANT TO NOTE WHEN MOVING : The city provided carts are to stay with the residence when homeowners sell their properties. If moving into a newly built home, buyers will receive a welcome package including a cart selection form to choose cart sizes. If moving into an existing home, buyers will receive the cart sizes that the previous homeowner had selected, or if no selection was made, they will receive the default cart sizes for their property type.
