A wild ride.

Mud. Logs. Endless ladders. Broken bridges. Nice bridges. Roots. Sun. Wind. Torrential rain. River crossings. Tidal crossings. Trolleys. Bears. Seals. Sea lions. Whales. A flooded campsite. Night hiking through the mud. Ferry crossings. Beautiful beach hikes. A memorable loaded potato, grilled cheese, cold Gatorade/beer/come at the crab shack had us salivating. Setting up camp to do it all over again tomorrow. And a WILD bus ride on logging roads back to where we started.

We completed the trek in 5 days. 4 nights. 75 km of the West Coast Trail. (Technically more km because every km wasn’t a true km 🫣, and some km took an hour to finish). If anyone ever tells you it takes an hour to finish a km, be warned 💀

Everyday was a different vibe. Lucky to be able-bodied, with our best friends, to experience something like this. 🫶

Blood, sweat, laughter, hysteria, tears, and a lot of lessons along the way. What a difference a day can make. West Coast Trail, Gordon River to Pacheena Bay - complete.
