On a warm (slight understatement at 35C) almost clear (blue skies above with residual smog in the air making for a hazy view of the lower mountains) August day, Ambstep Homes hosted the first, of what many hope will be not the last, annual invitational golf tournament.
A team started on each of the 18 holes of the course, as guests and staff played off a shotgun start.
Many of Ambstep's trades partners had donated prizes for the raffle, held to noisy applause at the end of a fun-filled afternoon. A 50/50 draw and other games were played along the course over the afternoon.
Dinner was a delicious and filling build-your-own burger buffet accompanied with fries and caesar salad.
The Cheam Mountain Golf Course staff did a great job keeping the beers and food flowing and the players in order!
Ed Van Tongeren concluded the event by thanking everyone for coming out; the contractors and tradesmen for their continued hard work on site; and looked forward to continue to build more homes with them all.
