Cochrane’s real estate market has been shifting constantly since August of 2025. Following a real strong February, sales activity slowed in March.

Rising inventory and more time on market has allowed buyers to see more homes and take their time.

Cochrane, Alberta has a great network of pathways throughout the town. I figured the best way to show them off is to run ALL of them.

Day 4 is The Willows, Rivercrest, Riversong, Precedence and Riviera.

These 5 communities are located south of the Bow River in Cochrane, Alberta with km’s of pathways along ridges and environmental reserves with stunning views.

Bow Valley Highschool is located right beside The Willows and Rivercrest K-8 is fully approved and has an estimated opening of 2028/2029.

These communities all connect to trails leading along the Bow River in Riviera and a pedestrian bridge connecting to the off-leash dog park and pathways leading to the SLS rec centre. A great spot for families with recreation and schools so close!

Cochrane, Alberta has a great network of pathways throughout the town. I figured the best way to show them off is to run ALL of them.

Day 3 is Riverview and Greystone.

These two communities are located just south of downtown Cochrane, Alberta and have access to the same pathway along the north side of the Bow River as West Valley, West Terrace and West Pointe.

Riverview has homes that back onto the river, green spaces and Riverview Greens Golf course along with multiple parks and ball diamonds.

Greystone is one of Cochrane’s newer communities home to the new Calgary Co-op grocery store, multiple parks, ball diamonds and outdoor pickle ball courts and is walking distance to Cochrane’s SLS rec centre.

Making a loop, day 3 was an 11km run with over 6km along the Bow River. With about 2km through Jim Uffelmann off-leash dog park!

Cochrane, Alberta has a great network of pathways throughout the town. I figured the best way to show them off is to run ALL of them.

Day 2 is West Valley, West Terrace and West Pointe.

With how connected these three communities are it was a no brainer to run them all together. Two schools, multiple parks, Mitford Ponds, off leash dog areas along Hwy 22, a pedestrian underpass to connect to Cochrane and the Ranchehouse pathways and kilometers of paved pathways along the Bow River!

Connecting all the pathways in the three communities lead me to around 11km, adding a few extra for my long run lead to 19km ran on Day 2.
