Hold on tight... we’re heading to the fair! 🎡🎠
Ron and I are ready for a little fun because the Great Northern Exhibition is back in Stayner September 25th to 27th!

There’s something about an old-fashioned fall fair that just feels right this time of year. The GNE has been a local tradition since 1855, and this weekend the fairgrounds will once again be filled with demolition derbies, tractor and horse pulls, livestock shows, agricultural exhibits, live entertainment, kids’ activities, a petting zoo and, of course, all those midway rides and games. Whether you go for the animals, the entertainment, the rides or the fair food, there’s a little something for everyone.

And the GNE is only one reason to get out this weekend! There’s comedy happening in Thornbury, an immersive art experience in Barrie and plenty of other ways to enjoy these first official days of fall around Southern Georgian Bay. 🍂

We also want to look ahead to something very important. The CIBC Run for the Cure takes place Sunday, October 4th at Blue Mountain Village, with both 1K and 5K options. There’s still time to register, start fundraising or support someone who is participating, all in support of breast cancer research and Canadians affected by breast cancer.

😎Move over Milan... Ron and Barb have hit the runway!

Okay, maybe we haven’t officially launched our modelling careers just yet, but with Collingwood Fashion Week kicking off next week, we thought we’d get into the spirit!

From September 21st to 25th, Downtown Collingwood will be celebrating fashion, style and some of the incredible local businesses that make our downtown such a great place to shop, dine and explore.

Presented by the Collingwood Downtown BIA, Collingwood Fashion Week brings a full week of fashion experiences to the heart of town, including fashion shows, special shopping events and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.

And the timing couldn’t be better. With fall officially arriving next week and that cooler weather starting to creep in, it might be time to trade a few of those summer favourites for sweaters, jackets, boots and some fabulous new finds for the season. 🍂

One of the things we love about Downtown Collingwood is the mix of independent shops, restaurants and businesses that give it so much personality. Fashion Week is a great excuse to wander downtown, pop into a few stores, support local and maybe come home with somethsomething you didn’t know you needed!
