Have you been wondering what’s really happening with the Vancouver Island real estate market?
I get asked this almost every day and the answer is it depends where you’re looking!
I’m now helping buyers and sellers in the Westshore, Victoria, Sooke, and the Comox Valley, and every area has its own unique market.
Right now buyers have more options than they have had in quite a while, which means less pressure and more opportunity to negotiate.
Well priced homes are still selling but they’re not flying off the market like they were a few years ago.
A few interesting stats:
🏡 Greater Victoria now has over 4,000 active listings, giving buyers a lot more choice than this time last year.
🏡 The benchmark price for a single family home in Greater Victoria is sitting around $1.33 million.
🏡 In the Comox Valley, the benchmark price for a single family home is around $865,000 and has stayed fairly steady over the past year.
Whether you’re thinking about making a move next month or next year, it’s always good to know what’s happening in your neighbourhood.
If you’re curious what your home could sell for or you’re thinking about buying send me a message. I’m always happy to chat and answer your questions.
I’d love to know…
If you could live anywhere on Vancouver Island where would it be?
