Apparently Martin the squirrel learned an important lesson about electricity today. Unfortunately, it was his last one.

We heard a BANG that sounded like a gunshot and suddenly our whole road was without power.

Turns out Martin had grabbed the wrong two wires at exactly the same time. 😬

One squirrel. One questionable decision. One entire road in the dark.

Thankfully, our friend at BC Hydro came to the rescue and had everyone back up and running within the hour.

Excellent work by BC Hydro.

Martin, however, could not be saved.

RIP Martin. 🐿️
You really went out with a bang.

A final walkthrough is about more than checking that everything is in place—it’s about helping a buyer feel ready for what comes next.

Today, I had the pleasure of completing the final walkthrough with a wonderful buyer who has also become a friend along the way.

Because she is downsizing and hasn’t moved in many years, we took our time. We mapped out where her favourite furniture could go and talked through how she could make this new space feel like home.

Buying a home can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes with a major life transition. My role doesn’t end once the contract is signed. I’m there to answer questions, pay attention to the details and help make the move feel as comfortable and manageable as possible.

My buyer preferred to stay behind the camera - which I completely respect - but it was lovely to see her excitement as she began picturing her life here.

Congratulations on your beautiful new home and the beginning of a wonderful new chapter!
