After a month of hard work, we are finally ready to introduce The Birnam Oak Suite!
It took a village…
Thank you to our amazing designer (my sister) for her incredible vision, and to my patient, hardworking husband, who has officially announced he is retired from bathroom renovations and picture hanging! 😂
Every late night, every decision, and every bit of hard work was worth it. We cannot wait to share this beautiful space with you.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hard at work transforming Suite One into something truly special. We’re not quite ready for the full reveal yet, but here’s a little hint of what’s coming. 👀

Natural textures, handcrafted details, and a warm, rustic feel inspired by the beauty of the Kootenays. This stunning live-edge wood feature is just one piece of the puzzle.

We can’t wait to show you the finished space and welcome guests into this completely refreshed suite.

Our newest residents are hard at work exploring the property, perfecting their bug-hunting skills, and preparing for their future careers as egg layers. 🌿☀️

Before long, guests may be able to enjoy fresh farm eggs gathered right here on the property—just one more little touch of country life at Dunlop House. ❤️

For now, they’re keeping a close eye on the grounds, holding important meetings at the picnic table, and reminding us that life is a little better on a small farm. 🚜🐓
