"Flight Night in Cumberland" is a group show at The Worthy Room, and the theme is flight, or anything you can reasonably argue is related to flight..
It does not have to be night flight. Moths, birds, paper planes, rockets, kites, that dream where you fall. All of it counts.

One piece per artist. No judge, no jury, nobody decides whether you qualify as a real artist. If you made something, it goes on the wall.

Bring your work to The Worthy Room, August 31 to September 3, 10 to 5. Opening night party is September 4, 6 to 9pm. The show hangs through September and October.

We take no commission on anything that sells.

There are a million reasons to move, and the reason matters more than the market does.

Because the stairs are getting harder. Because the grandkids are in Nanaimo now. Because the family outgrew the place, or because the family left and the place outgrew them. Because someone needs care. Because two acres was a wonderful idea at forty five and is a different proposition at seventy.

Understanding your why is what gets people off the fence. Thinking about moving is not moving.

I know that better than most. Nine years ago I left a twenty year career in mortgage finance, travelled for a year, and started again here. It was hard, it was necessary, and I have never once regretted it. Change is not something to be feared. Our time here is finite.

So if you have been turning something over quietly, let us have a coffee about it. Not a listing appointment. A conversation about what you are actually trying to do, and whether now is the right time to do it.
