New short term rental regulations are coming to Halifax. Check out my website for more info.

Halifax Regional Council has approved new regulations for short-term rentals. The zoning bylaws will restrict them in residential areas, but they'll still be allowed in commercial zones and primary residences.

The Bank of Canada has again increased rates. This could be the last one for a while. In announcements earlier this year, the statement ended, saying "rates would likely need to rise further”. This one was missing that line. The next announcement will be Jan. 25.

The Bank of Canada raised its benchmark interest rate by 50 basis points, to 4.25 per cent.
