POV: Everyone else is thinking about pumpkin spice and you’re thinking about mortgage rates, inspections and whether that kitchen wall is load bearing 😂🍂🏡
But buying a home in the fall can actually be a pretty smart move.
The spring and summer rush has slowed down, which can mean fewer buyers competing for the same homes.
Sellers who are still on the market may also be a little more motivated, especially if they’re hoping to make a move before winter.
And one of my favourite fall buying perks?
You get to see how a home actually handles cooler weather. Is it drafty? Does the basement smell damp after a rainy week? How does the heating system perform? These are things that can be a lot harder to notice during a sunny July showing.
Does that mean every fall listing is automatically a deal? Absolutely not 😂
It means there can be opportunities if you know what to look for and you have a solid strategy going in.
So while everyone else is hunting for the perfect pumpkin, you could be hunting for the perfect home. 🎃🏡
Thinking about making a move in the Annapolis Valley this fall? Send me a message. We can figure out what makes sense for you without any pressure.
