From the moment we stepped inside of Pop's Place, there was a feeling of home, of connection and of peace. Our mission when we started this adventure was to provide a space that allowed people to relax, reconnect and to leave feeling refreshed. We are so grateful to all of our wonderful guests for their amazing reviews which all express exactly what we were hoping for.

We are also so thankful for our beautiful community and it's support over our first year. We are very excited to be taking part in this year's D***o Days Festival as we host "D***o's Wildlife Quest" on July 20, 2026. There will be various animal pictures hidden around our community that will contain a fact about an animal, it's connection to our province/community and each animal will have a letter printed on it. Find all the animals, collect all the letters and learn a little bit about them as you visit different places in our beautiful community. Once all animals have been found, unscramble the letters to uncover a mystery word. Submit your photos of your adventures/completed sheet for a chance to win a goodie bag which will be available for pick up during the Festivities on the Wharf.

Check out the sweet artwork completed by our littlest guests during their Gingerbread Picnic.

Are you looking for a place to get together with friends? Somewhere that’s quiet and clean? Calming and relaxing? Cozy with beautiful views of the ocean, surrounded by trees and feels festive?

Pop’s Place might be just what you are looking for. We are now offering 2 hours slots for friends, family, or coworkers to get together and enjoy the quiet memories of the season outside of all of the hustle and bustle. These time slots include freshly baked goods and hot chocolate.

Activities for both young and old with a cookie decorating station, photo prop area, gingerbread games and activities and gingerbread ornament painting offered to those who may be interested in a more mature activity.

The tree is trimmed, the fireplace is prepared, we are fully decorated both outside and in and we would love to help you celebrate the holidays through connection and joy.

Relax in a cozy cabin with wooden interior complete with Christmas decor & electric fireplace.

Now taking bookings for Gingerbread picnics. Please DM to inquire about availability.

Picnics include:
- 2 hour private booking for you group availing of the entire property.
- fresh baked goods (muffins, cookies, croissants).
- cookie decorating station
- hot chocolate bar
- gingerbread themed activities (gingerbread playdough, tic, tac, toe, sticker/coloring activities.)
- photo props
- Christmas books and cozy reading corner

(Wooden gingerbread ornament painting available for adults only option).

$100 for a 4 person booking. Additional charges may apply for additional guests.

Hot Chocolate Bar: Warm up with a mug of creamy cocoa topped with marshmallows, candy canes, or whipped cream.

Craft & Ornament Station: Make holiday keepsakes to hang on the tree or share as gifts.

Storytime Nook: Curl up for heartwarming tales of gingerbread adventures and winter magic.

Photo Spot: Snap a sweet gingerbread character picture or next to our cute Christmas tree.

Guests have been loving their stay at Pop's Place and we are so happy to hear that they are getting the peace and relaxation that we envisioned. Check out what some of our guests have had to stay. September is pretty much sold out, but there are still lots of fall dates available and fall is a beautiful time to travel here in Newfoundland.

Check out our cozy one bedroom cabin (2 pull out sofas also available) located in D***o. Surround by trees, overlooking the ocean and a hot tub on site. Just minutes from Andersons Cove Beach and D***o Brewing Co.
