. Who we are
Nick Woywitka, President of Nicon Developments, started Nicon as a ‘one man show’ back in 1976 doing the vast majority of the construction work himself. A long-time resident of the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, Nick focused his efforts on building new single family homes on Vancouver Island. Thanks to his reputation for quality new home construction Nick quickly expanded the residential new home construction business to include restoration, renovations, subdivision development, project management, large scale multifamily new home construction and commercial construction projects. Nick expanded operations even further in 1997 starting an Alberta division to include a new multifamily homes subdivision development. In 2004 Nick moved his focused to developing his family lakefront property into an upscale new homes development back on Vancouver Island. It was important to Nick that the new subdivision preserve the natural ecosystem and protect Quamichan Lake and the wetland habitat. After many years of working with environmentalists, ecologists and the Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans, development began on the Trumpeter Pointe subdivision on Vancouver Island. Recognizing the lack of flexibility in constructing quality, environmentally responsible, cost effective new homes, Nick created the newest Nicon division and Nicon Homes was born. It is here where Nicon combines the best of our design practices, quality build materials, superior trades and local industry experience to provide our clients the best of both worlds, an environmentally responsible, quality home done your way.
