Found a attic hatch nailed shut (with spikes) painted over. After permission of course busted out the hammer, nail bar crow bars and opened it up and found a large section of roof rafters barbecued (with some handyman band aids). Large scope of repair definitely required. We could of easily deemed inaccessible and moved on but decided to take the hard route with more personal liability to ensure we got our eyes on the difficult areas. Take a second and look at your garage ceiling. I often find drywall sheets with insufficient fasteners. I found this one today. With higher moisture levels in the garage and the lack of fasteners it would not be long till this guy goes for a fall. Which could be a bad day for somebody or something.
