Feel around windows & doors.
Condensation or cold air = possible insulation issues.

🏠 Rood & Gutters - Snow tells a story
Look for ice dams, sagging, or heavy icicle buildup.

💧 Basement & Foundation - Winter reveals moisture
Check for damp smells, stains, or visible cracks.

🚗 Driveway & Walkways - Think safety + drainage
Notice snow buildup, slopes, and where water drains.

☀️ Natural Light - Short days = honest light
How bright does the home feel during winter hours?

💡 Energy Costs - Ask about utility bills
A well-efficient home saves money year-round.

If the home survives winter, it will most likely be okay the rest of the year 👌

Natural light can make a huge difference when you're trying to get stuff done. 🌞

But if you don’t have big windows (or any at all), mirrors are a great trick to bounce light around and make the room feel brighter. 🪞

Also, having light from a few different sources—like a mix of lamps or overhead lights—helps keep things from feeling too dark or harsh💡

Light-colored walls, like whites or soft pastels, can really open up a space and make it feel more airy. Adding textures with rugs, cushions, or light furniture and some greenery can help make the space feel cozy and productive. 🪴
