As Professional Organizers, we recommend focusing on three things when setting up systems in your home:

Think about who will actually use the system.
If your child needs to hang up their backpack but the hook is too high, chances are the backpack will end up on the floor.

Things need to be easy to reach and put away, for all ages!

Keep the number of steps to a minimum.
The more steps it takes to put something away, the less likely the system is to stick.

A good system should be able to change with you.

Are you concerned that the clothes you donate may end up as pollution in a developing country?

Then donate them to Blenderz!

Blenderz Garment Recyclers is committed to recycling, reclaiming, and upcycling textiles right here in Alberta.

They accept clothing and fabric in any condition, including:
- single socks
- blankets
- towels
- pillowcases
- sheets
- and more

Items are given new life in their thrift shop or in upcycling projects.

If the items are not in resalable condition, there is a small fee to offset the hard work they do to process those pieces.

They also offer workshops to help you learn how to upcycle and sew, including day camps where kids can create and sew their own upcycled articles using items from their workshop and thrift stocks.

We love a sustainable hobby!
