Now this is a GOOD initiative we can get behind!
The City of Edmonton has officially launched a new initiative to celebrate playoff season — the “Playoff Spirit Initiative.” 🏒

When the Oilers make the playoffs, select areas of the city will see snow dyed Oilers orange to show support for the team and build excitement across the community. 🟠

The pilot program has plans to expand to other neighbourhoods as the team progresses through the playoffs! Should the snow melt, there will be snow makers put in Ice District in the fan zone watch party areas!

Fans are encouraged to grab their jerseys, head downtown, and show their support as the city turns a little more orange for the playoffs.

Radon: The Invisible Gas in Your Home

Radon is a naturally occurring gas that comes from the breakdown of uranium in soil and rock beneath our homes. It can enter through cracks in the foundation, sump pits, floor drains, or small openings in the basement floor.

The tricky part?
You can’t see it, smell it, or taste it.

When radon builds up inside a home over time, it can increase the risk of lung cancer. In fact, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.

The good news is testing is simple and affordable. Many homes in Canada have elevated levels, especially in basements where the gas first enters.

A short test can tell you if your home is safe — and if levels are high, mitigation systems can remove it.

We’d like you to officially meet Georgie — our Highland cow mascot here at The GOOD Real Estate Company.

Yes… he’s a fluffy, long-haired, slightly wild-looking Highland cow stuffed animal. And yes, we’re already mildly obsessed.

But Georgie is more than just a cute face.

His name was chosen in memory of George Pelechaty — one of our office leaders who helped shape the culture of who we are today. George led with integrity, heart, and a deep belief in doing things the right way.

That’s what Georgie represents.
