The land surrounding Sunset Beach has a long history. Along our trails, we share some of the Indigenous history of the Lake Diefenbaker area and acknowledge the people and communities connected to this land.

This year, Prairie Sky Trails Association partnered with the RM of Loreburn to plant 2000 tree seedlings at Sunset Beach as part of FCM's Growing Canada's Community Canopies. The seedlings were planted this spring and we anticipate great success with protective fencing and drip irrigation support. This project was carried out with funds from the Government of Canada to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
