As another beautiful summer season comes to a close at Scarlett Point Retreat, my heart is filled with gratitude. ❤️

One of the greatest gifts has been watching families return and seeing children who first arrived here as babies now running along the property at five and six years old. and our teenagers!

We have truly watched families grow up at Scarlett Point, and that means more to us than words can express.

If our lakes could speak… what would they say?

Today, as a yellow floatplane crossed the skies above Perry Lake, it was a powerful reminder that our waterways are worth protecting.

The beauty we enjoy today is not guaranteed tomorrow.

Every bottle left behind.
Every piece of litter.
Every drop of fuel.
Every shoreline we choose to respect—or neglect—becomes part of our children’s future.

Here in Kearney, we are blessed to wake up surrounded by some of Ontario’s most beautiful freshwater. These lakes provide drinking water, support wildlife, create local jobs, and give families a place to reconnect with nature.

Protecting them isn’t just the responsibility of governments.

It’s ours.

Imagine if every person who visited a lake left it just a little better than they found it.

One less piece of garbage.
One more act of kindness.
One more family teaching their children that water is life.

At Scarlett Point Retreat, we believe we are not owners of this beautiful place—we are caretakers for the next generation.

Family Day, Valentine’s Weekend at Scarlett Point

Every year, something beautiful happens here.

Family Day.
Valentine’s Day.
Snow falling softly across the lake.
Fires glowing.
Laughter echoing through the villas.

And once again, our Scarlett Point family returns.

From our very first year until now, we have watched strangers become friends… friends become tradition… and traditions become something sacred.

Scarlett Point Retreat, isn’t just a retreat.
It has quietly become a home away from home.

A place where couples reconnect.
Where children grow up making the same winter memories year after year.
Where families gather, celebrate, and pause long enough to truly see one another.
