Stillman Onsite has another feather in our cap after a fantastic trip to beautiful New Brunswick. We attended the Wetland Delineation Training course at the Maritime College of Forest Technology facilitated by Boreal Environmental. The college facility is an absolute gem! Derrick Mitchell Owner/Operator and his team of instructors Ryan and Greg provided the perfect balance of classroom study combined with practical field training at several sites. A fantastic group with over 25 attendees, all with a diverse range of backgrounds. We visited a bog and forested swamp in Fredericton and ended our last day at a seaside marsh at the Irving Nature Park in St. John, New Brunswick. The team at Boreal Environmental are truly dedicated and really care about what they do. They promoted the importance of our wetlands and the role they play as part of a larger ecosystem, and also the importance of having consistent training throughout the Maritimes building trust with our regulators.
